GoBots - Figure #35: Blaster with Creepy Mail-Away Form
Two things I sure like are 1980s figure mail-away offers, and adding carded GoBots to the Preserve. How fortuitous when those two things find themselves combined in a single post! Behold, then, figure #35 from the 1984 GoBot collection, with the original mail-away form still attached for the special green Creepy figure! My Dad clearly picked up these duplicates at the reliable Flourtown, PA KMart, cut the UPC codes off of four packages, and mailed them on in. Since I have that Creepy in the collection, it must have worked! Click either image below for the gallery of Blaster, and this historically important mail-away offer. Hurry, offer expires December 31st, 1985!

While I was reading todays post I realized that I actually own a Gobot. I've had it almost my whole life and didn't even know what it was. |

Great! Glad I could help. What does your GoBot look like - or did it happen to actually be Blaster? |

Nope, it wasn't Blaster. It was actually the Screw Head figure on the back of Blasters package. I'm not exactly sure how I got it, since I was born long after the Gobots were created. |

I think that the GoBots, especially the lower numbered ones, were made in pretty huge numbers so we do end up seeing them around pretty often it seems...though carded examples sure have gone up in price these last few years. Cool that Screw Head found his way into your latterday collection! |
