Moss Man Sets New Record

Given the amazingly short sell-out times of some previous figures in the Master of the Universe Classics line, it seemed hard to believe that even shorter times were possible...especially given the Digital River system. Well, yesterday's sale goes to show that so long as something is greater than zero, it's always possible to be diminished. Both the flocked and un-flocked Moss Man figures sold out in about 1 minute, meaning we basically need a stop watch to discuss the MotUC line these days. I managed to miss the flocked version I was going for, as did a lot of people I suspect, but fortunately my subscription should cover at least some version of Moss Man and keep the archive full. These 'noon time events' and limited runs may be a real pain for many collectors, but it's a formula that appears to keep working for Mattel - and certainly the flocked version of this figure was a special case.
