eBay Watch - Sky Commanders Lot

While Sky Commanders auctions on eBay aren't entirely rare, it is tough to find a good set of open, mostly complete vehicles and especially figures all in one go. This auction has the added benefit of one of the most geometrically perfect toy photos I've ever had the pleasure to see! There's not much time left on this one, and the bid may be a little high to start, but if you have some cash you want to trade for a great 1980s line you might want to take a look at this!

As the good Doctor knows, I'm one of a small group of people actively pursuing this line. In fact, I'm PRETTY sure I have the set, which is why I won't be going for this lot. Here's the rub: Look at all the tangled strings on the right. I can't tell you how annoying those things are. I blew out two large lots of parts and pieces just to start anew WITHOUT the added aggravation of having to try and untie those knots.

I was lucky enough to have the full set when I was a kid - probably one of the last lines I collected, in fact. It's a crime that my section for it here on the Preserve is so empty - just haven't located them all and spent the time! Nice job, that you've managed to get the full set yourself.

I agree with your assessment about those cables - what a nightmare when they get all knotted up!

I wish I loved this line. Is this every set, BTW? Insta-collection, string issue aside?

No this is definitely not every part of the line - if my checklist didn't suck I could prove it! :-)

The distinct lack of purple and green in that pic tells me that there isn't a single 'bad guy' set there - except maybe part of one under the catalog on the left. It does seem to be a very complete set of the good guys, though, and probably a full and very impressive set of all of the figures. See my catalog pic here.
