eBay Watch - X-Panders ATV / Missile Outpost

It seems to be only once in a blue moon that a piece from the rare X-Panders line by Galoob comes up on eBay, and today we're lucky enough to see the ATV / Missile Outpost here for the taking! Sadly it appears to be missing the original paperwork, but does have a sharp looking box, and the seller makes up for it by clearly having a great time shooting his pictures with about as much expression as you can get out of non-articulated 1" army men! Check out the auction, but be careful if you start an X-Panders collection - it will take you some time to finish it!

Ha! I just bought the F-4 jet last week for my collection. I think I have all six sets now, but my helicopter and boat are most likely not complete. It took FOR-EV-ER to finish, though.

Well done! I'm impressed that you were able to put it all together - I guess in the last 6 months or so I did see several other pieces of the set flow through eBay, so those must have been filtered off into your collection.

I know you and the good Doctor are also keen on the local toy shows - given that you live in a large enough area to still have such thing - so maybe those provided some extra help as well!

The real crime of it is that I love this series, and haven't even posted them all to the Preserve! Priorities!

I had the ATV and the 4X4 as a kid, as well as the figure sets. A few years ago, I ended up with not one but two boxed tanks. I found a lot of bits and bobs at a toy show about two years ago, and the dealer, who knows his stuff, had no clue what they were. I think I got the lot for $10, but it was all random pieces. I got another lot like that from a dealer who knew I was looking for them. I have to go through and piece them together to see if the helicopter and the boat are complete. I didn't have the plane at all, though, so I was happy when it came up.

What a journey you had! Well, I'm delighted that you were able to piece together the final set. Heck - since I've not bothered to get all my collection posted, for all I know I may be missing a piece that I'd overlooked. I'll have to start up my own quest, in that case!
