Rock Lords |
The truly pathetic extent of the Rock Lord collection currently discovered in the archives. |
In 1980-something, I had a halloween costume coated in shiny gold foil, which transformed, and I was "Nugget" - a poorly named but aptly transforming Rock Lord. My costume, which was made of the finest wine boxes available, actually transformed in the manner consistent with the toy. Even with it being the 80s, and me being in my 12s or something, I suspect that no one but me was at all interested or realized what I had done. Oh well, suited me fine then and suits me fine now!
This series had dubious tie-ins to other of our popular transforming bretheren, but tried to make a name on its own. While not particularly deep or long lived, it was still a fun line, and at least lasted longer than a single season which puts it ahead of many. |
